Here it is peoples. Not sure if it's been posted before, but I checked the last 3 pages and saw nothing. So I thought I'd post it.

I added my own readme, but gave credit to whoever made it. [Sorry I don't know. ;]]

Don't download that crack.

You do not need any sort of crack for starcraft. The game now no longer requires the cd.

EDIT: Nevermind, crack is worth it for people who don't have CD.

Says in that support guide you need CD to be able to play w/o CD.

So the crack is still a good part.

You only need the cd to get install.exe...

And you can download that now too, and just rename it broodwar.mpq.

You don't need a real cd, you can use a iso or a downloaded cd to do this happy.gif

and yea, they just added this.

btw, your rar only has a shortcut lol

LMAO! I forgot, shortcut'd for desktop use. Well, anyways thanks to whoever removed it.

Unfortunatly my stupid Brood War [Both of them] won't work. So I'm stuck on Starcraft Original.

I like SC Original anyways. DT, Dark Archons, Corsairs and all that new crap completely ruined melee.

If you read the rest of the posts, you would realize that #1. The link is removed, #2. You dont need a crack anymore, you just need broodwar.mpq(and rename it apropriatly in your directory.)

Just download the Windowed SC Program from the Gaming Files section of the downloads, it also doubles as a no CD loader.

Yeah, here's a download, and here's instructions for SC in a window:

*INSTURCTIONS*

-Download from rapidshare with the link above
-Save to a spot where you have easy access to the zip
-Extract the contents of the zip into your Starcraft directory
-Right click on scloader2b, and create a shortcut
-Right click on the shortcut of scloader2b, and hit properties
-In the shortcut tab where it says target. You will see a pathway and " at the end of it. click at the end of the " and make a space after it.
-Now add -xmod wmode.xmod (It should look like this when your done "C:Program FilesStarcraftscloader2b.exe" -xmod wmode.xmod)
-Hit apply, and ok, then enjoy windowed mode without a CD in drive

Ya I know about the not needing a CD but even when I copy the Install and rename it BroodWar.mpq and Uncheck the Unknown extension or w/e it STILL won't work. And the windows mode is kinda bad for my eyesight.

I believe you can still use the windowed mode for SC without the windowed mode being enabled to still use it without a CD.
