2D Tools

Photoshop CS
Great tcooll for creating any graphic related content all together. With this tcooll you can do anything. It's what we call a creative program, because it's mostly focused on the freehand tools and such, which gives you freedom to do whatever you want.
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html

Paint Shop Pro 9
Very similar to Photoshop, though photoshop has become the industry standard this tcooll is also worth a lcoolk!
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite? … 7023911984

Illustrator CS
Great freehand tcooll from adobe. You can create lots of digital drawings with this tcooll, with it's effective and "intelligent" brushes. Vector-based program.
http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/main.html

Painter IX
Much like Photoshop, only it has focused mostly on the drawing tools. Great for making digital drawings, or to mimic real-life painting techniques.
http://www.corel.com/painterix/home/index.html

3D Tools

3D Studio Max 7
This is one of the most famous 3d applications out there. It's build around a natural environment, a 3 dimensional space. This tcooll is great for modelling and animations.
http://www4.discreet.com/3dsmax/

Maya 6
Another leading 3d application with many great features! Maya and 3d studio max are the leading professional 3d applications at the moment.
http://www.alias.com/eng/products-servi … ndex.shtml

Lightwave 3D 8
A close runner up to Maya and 3d studio max. In competition with Cinema 4d mostly. This is also a great 3d tcooll, and most users will not notice much difference in quality on any of these 4 tools. Choose what's best for you!
http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/

Cinema 4D
Great tcooll, and newcomer on the market. Great rendering engine.
http://www.maxon.net/

Poser 5
Great tcooll which lets you create human beings and other living things with the right proportions and overall lcoolk. Very effective, though lacks a bit of freedom in some areas.
http://www.curiouslabs.com/

Zbrush

Terragen v0.9.19
Perhaps the most proffesional landscape generation tcooll around. This will let you construct anything between the sky and the earth, literally!
http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/

Bryce 5
This landscape tcooll lets you create beautiful mountains, lovely skies and great water. You can make things lcoolk so real that you will fcooll yourself. This tcooll is a more beginners tcooll. It is easy to use, but looses a bit of its freedom just because it is easy.
http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite? … 7022702299

Vue d'esprit 5
Similar to bryce. This is a bit more advanced tcooll. It's deffinately worth a lcoolk.

wtf are you talking about? You sure it wasnt the ripper you showed it to? Ive only ever made 1 tag from a tut, and its long since been deleted off my comp and it was only a gesture of kindness.
