Website making.

Now that graphics is starting to bore me, I was looking for something new, and I thought, why not make a website?

Oh I know why not. I have no idea how. :/

Since I know a lot of you can code and what-not, do you guys have any tutorials that you like a lot, or one that you wrote?

 

I think i'm talking about HTML?

I have Adobe Dreamweaver CS4. Is that used for web design?

Yes Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 is for web designing. Anyway what i would recommend to do is create a website using dreamweaver then make it dynamic and super cool. A good book for beginners in programming php is SamsTeachYourself Php, MySQL and Apache

you don't have to if its just static html if its dynamic like blogs are then you have to worry about security. BTW blog scripts that you can dl are free and mostly secure

What I did, some people will disagree with this method, was get a WYSIWYG editor and make a site, then look at the code and experiment around looking at what does what.

So gamethreat.net and Ghoztcraft.net don't have any firewalls and such.

 

 

Yes they directly do not have any firewalls. The server the website is hosted off of has firewalls. The only reason you could even argue that Ghoztcraft.net has a firewall is because XGhozt both hosts the website off of his server, and maintains the server. The only reason you would need a firewall was if you hosted your own server. However, seeing as this TS simply wants to learn the basics of webdesign, I HIGLY doubt he will need a firewall of any sort.

 

Well blogs are easier to make.
