I have officially stopped playing SC.

I have officially stopped playing StarCraft.

Apparently, Battle.net's community has severely been degraded with the oncoming of Sc2, which made basically three types of gamers stay, with quite a varied abundance rate.

1. The Absolute Illiterate Retarded 7-9 year olds (94%)

2. The Weed-Smoker Trollfags (5%)

3. Those who actually have a brain left just haven't moved on as they have either no life or they're just addicted or they actually have some balance in their lives and just like StarCraft (1%)

But that wasn't the main reason.

As a whole, PC Gaming, especially overdone is basically a GIANT waste of time. The reason why StarCraft players have left so long ago before was because they could realize sooner that it is pointless to stay. Playing is pointless. There is no actual result of playing (apart from maybe temporary entertainment). It most certainly wouldn't get you a girlfriend or anything, really. Or any friends. Or a life. Or an identity.

Can people seriously accept themselves as saying, "All I do all day and night is play StarCraft and sleep"? Would you be able to say that to anyone who asks you about what you do and who you are? I highly doubt you would.

Therefore, StarCraft itself became sort of pointless, it never HAD a point, but there WAS a reason to play. For fun. But with the people on USEast nowadays, even that is stolen. USWest has a clan with people who still value having to think to play a game... but in the end, StarCraft will NEVER matter.

That's all.

Oh, by the way....

Here's the hack pack I've been using for the era, with my IP logs tracing back to 2008.

And I'm also including GeoIP because that's something I didn't really use but it could still be handy.

Have fun.

The password to the pack is "kecskesajt" if I remember correctly.

I'm surprised I didn't include it. Whatever!

I totally agree with this. I haven't played the original game for long periods of time since Beta Phase 1 back in February of last year. I go on for nostalgia's sake, but it's just not the same.

This is the part I don't agree with. PC Gaming and gaming in general does entail rewards besides instant gratification. It brings people together. It creates a community outside of the game itself. I've met countless forever-friends in RL solely based on the common interest of GAMES.

Starcraft, Diablo, Counterstrike, Team Fortress, shit, gaming in general DOES matter, if not only for entertainment. For some people, it's what defines them. Gaming gives me an identity, it gives me friends, and happiness. That sounds like one hell of a life to me.

In replying to this, it reminds me of a video where someone stated pretty much the same thing as me AND you except a lot more eloquently. You've probably seen it, but here it is:

Oh. Then I haven't actually experienced THAT part because for me, gaming with people usually involves spending time with people who are overseas, in the US, while I'm on the other side of the world - in Hungary. That does explain it, haha.

...I am good at Gaming, but I don't want it to be my identity. There are a limited amount of people you can discuss it with... but... it's very limited.

I suppose location does factor in greatly with the type of experience you have. :S

they should make a game that you have to have a valid drivers license or something similar in order to play... that way the 9 year old kids cant get on and attempt to act cool.... just an idea.....

They should do a basic IQ test and some basic mini-games where the point is that you have to figure out what to do, and if you can't, then you cannot register. LOL.

Yeah but you can always say you were born in January 21 1965 and no one will be able to prove if it's right or false. >.>

I've been guilty of that many times when I was younger.

I still put January 1, 1987 sometimes as my birthday.

I don't think I'm the only one who used to go past the "Are you 18 yet" questions like that.. xD

I never even bought SC2 I still have the beta on my laptop though. And what exactly is the geoip thing, and why exactly do we need to see logs or whatever of your ip? Just curious, I wouldn't download it to begin with because I'm lazy, but especially not going to when I don't even have the game it's for.

Geoip shows the country or region the IP is from. The IP log is Zhu's list of douche nozzles.

I do have to agree with what Zhuinden is saying here.

Ever since Beta it did kind of feel like there was actually no community to speak of.

I actually got the limited edition but I grew tired of it within 2 weeks of buying it.

It just didn't feel right to me.

I did however beat the campaign at they very least.

Still fuming over how they only sold the Terran phase first..... what a rip.

Though I WAS talking about Sc1 knowing that Sc2 has region locks and Europeans are mostly the people of Poland and Spain saying SIEMA KRZWICHEZKY or JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJ, and I can't even go to US servers using StarCraft2. :P

However about Sc2, it certainly is a rip-off that so I've heard that the Xel Naga is not even mentioned in the terran campaign. Like what the heck, this is supposed to be about the diversion of Duran and stuff and things being epic, not just some random stupid bs. >.>

Anyways, don't forget guys.

Operation CWAL - Operation Can't Wait Any Longer

Perfectly applies for Starcraft 2.

Wrong. While they don't make any direct references besides the ENTIRE SET OF PROTOSS MISSIONS, there are subtle ties. *Cough* Emil Narud. Dr Narud. Moebius Foundation. Out of nowhere. Dr. naruD. *Cough*

Honestly, you can say that about any game. I think everyone at some point comes to the same realization you just did. Playing games, watching TV, it's all very "pointless", but at the end of day when you've done your part in society, sometimes it's good to waste a few hours. At least when you play thought provoking video games you're exercising your mind. And of course, I rarely ever purchase games that are not multiplayer because I want to play with my friends, which in turn is a social event; as in, "having a life". Balance is key.

You see what I did thur? (:

Aye, either find friends around you who play the same games as you, or play Professor Clayton because it's awesome. xD
