  1. Holy cow, those are some gorgeous pictures. I'm so envious of you! I've only visited Alaska a couple times, both of which were for family vacations. What an absolutely beautiful state. Glad you're doing well Zar, thanks for the photos :)

  2. I think each expansion will have its own ladder in the same sense that StarCraft 1 and StarCraft: Brood War had separate multiplayer experiences. However the majority of people will probably be playing the most recent version, like with Brood War. Not sure about custom games, although I'm sure there will be workarounds.

  3. So whenever I boot up the laptop, it instantly blue screens. I disabled the "restart on crash" option and found out the blue screen error was "unmountable_boot_volume." According to a quick cursory google search, this happens when the OS is unable to boot properly due to a corrupt hard drive.

Here are the things I've tried:

    • startup repair, the laptop restarts and then stays at the blue Windows 7 login screen with only the mouse cursor visible
    • reformatting with a Windows 7 installation disc, the installation always hangs at "Starting setup..."
    • running a memtest, no errors found
    • creating a system repair disc, repair stalls after I choose what language I want it to be in
    • running the proprietary system restore program, the program gets stuck on "loading, please wait"
    • running a chkdsk, no errors found
    • starting up in every type of Safe Mode, always ends in blue screen

I was able to boot with an Ubuntu disc and recover everything important but I can't actually boot it up with Windows without it blue screening instantly. I'm considering replacing the hard drive, but I might just buy a new laptop. If anyone has any advice, I'd be grateful. Thanks!

  4. I've been playing League of Legends recently, although I still pop back on StarCraft II every once in a while for some ladder games. Mostly preoccupied with school and whatnot, so I haven't had as much time to play as I'd like. Looking forward to Diablo III and Borderlands 2. :)

  5. Yes. Played the beta, it's awesome. Definitely gonna buy it. I might do that deal with the infinite Guild Wars 2 gameplay + Diablo III, because both the new GW looks pretty sweet as well. Can't wait for May 15th!

  6. Well, SOPA and PIPA were pretty much dead, but the postponement was just a ruse... they are both still alive and kicking. Also as papa Ghozt said, another bill joins the ranks:

"Online Protection and Enforcement of Digital Trade"

or OPEN, which is basically the same thing.

Yet another bill is threatening us as well: "The Protecting Children from Internet Pornographers Act of 2011"

And with a name like that, no one wants to say anything bad about it. The language in it is broad just as in SOPA and the rest:

"under language approved 19 to 10 by a House committee, the firm that sells you Internet access would be required to track all of your Internet activity and save it for 18 months, along with your name, the address where you live, your bank account numbers, your credit card numbers, and IP addresses you've been assigned."

Also, there is ACTA which is the European version of SOPA.. but it could have an effect on every country depending on who signs it. It's also far more aggressive than SOPA, and could have a much worse affect.

    what the fuck

  7. I wish this would come out because the ones before were so awesome and I had a blast when I was younger:

  8. Every year around Winter time my entire family visits some family friends and create gingerbread houses from scratch.. using icing as glue to put together the house foundation itself, and then using a massive selection of candies to decorate. We take pictures of them, then devour them. It's glorious. thumbsup.gif
