Yeah that happend to me before, it was like 1,100,000 and cpu usage was at 100%. i watched it for about 2 mins while trying to click on end process, But my lappy overheated.

That happened to me once and I think my comp overheated and fried something inside cos since then I was getting bsod a lot... New comp though. Hope no damage was done!

Firefox can be a real RAM whore sometimes. I don't have more than a gig of RAM but I don't think I've ever seen it peak above 500Mb.

The max for me was around 150 MB but that's because all my RAM is 512.

happens to me all the time. This is the only problem with firefox. Except i usually restart it when it reaches 500,000.

firefox is a memory leak monster, especially when a script errors and it keeps running it without erroring out.
