Can't Join Any Games

When I ever go try to join any games, it always says that my latency is too high to the host of the game. I don't understand. I have only 75 ping. Does anyone have this problem. It would be nice if someone could give a solution to this.

Yes, for a firewall to be a firewall there generally has to be a way to make it allow certain applications/ports.

I've already port forwarded it, not really sure if turning the firewall will help. I just use regular windows vista firewall.

Turn off all firewalls, run starcraft and log on bnet. Then turn your firewalls on, while playing sc. After the first time you shouldnt have to do it again.

No. If it was a hardware problem then disabling his software firewall wouldn't have fixed it.

Plus his latency would be a UDP Plug capable if it was a hardware problem.

Well I almost joined a game, but it said I got banned. However I tried joining 3 other users' games but I got the latency error again on all of them.

 

For Lag, I've never gotten into a game

Iam having the same trouble, only my ports are forwarded and I can play games with my friend, but after 1 game we cant play again unless we restart game, and even then its hit or miss, sometimes we have to alternate hosting to do it but lately the bug has shown more

It could be your internet service provider or if you are using wireless it can be that as well. Some internet service providers like Qwest will not let you host games online because they dont support it. So it will cause latency issues like what you experienced.
