It helpes me narrow down the source of the problem. Depending on what it's using, i can tell you how dangerous it is.

That won't make the problem go away. With the unlocker you're actually trying to Fix the problem.

Windows key + r
cmd
enter

To kill DLL

regsvr32 /u DllName.dll

To kill process

taskkill /f /im Process.exe

enter

No external programs are needed for killing processes OR dlls. Enjoy. You can also end services from the command line (I don't remember how off the top of my head, though).

No problem. Hopefully this should be simple enough for anyone to follow, since it's just writing 5 things on your keyboard.

Alright, lets get something straight. If they exe installed something on his computer, or created a backdoor. There are other files. No ending the process and deleting it will just finish the job. Actually, you know what... It just might, but it probably wont. If you see what the program is running in, it gives you more information about the threat. If you're right, and you end it, and then delete it.. congats. but that's very rare.

My approach guarantees the security of the computer altogether, not the immediate threat.

EDIT: also, if you dont know what process the exe is running in, then you cant stop that process. and lets say it's in winlogon.exe, then you cant end that. It's crash your computer. Unlocker lets you "unlock and then remove the program form the process.

Chances are nohacks.exe is in the "nohacks.exe" process.

Um, if it's a virus or backdoor, and runs on startup, then it probably will also be linked to explorer.exe or winlogon.exe.

I see them linked to many processes all the time.

You mean injected?

Sure, lets go with that. I meant that ;)

But you see my point azu. I doubt it's that simple.

Just unload it with the method I posted, and delete the dll.

It's not a dll. It's an executable. Try Azu's method. If that doesn't work. Use unlocker.

EXEs aren't injected into running processes, DLLs are.
