Kenshyn 638 Posted January 3, 2009 Poply, if you have all those widgets and what not, why not just get a new theme all together using StyleXP, or rather, WindowBlinds? Share this post Link to post
Kenshyn 638 Posted January 3, 2009 Zander what the fuck? Doesn't that bore you? Share this post Link to post
Poply 178 Posted January 3, 2009 I'm not familiar with StylesXP or WindowBlinds. I like Rainmeter because its extremely easy to use, and totally customizable. I can go into each meter's config file and change or add any characteristic that I want. Share this post Link to post
Ruler of War 169 Posted January 3, 2009 jesus christ poply is your system water cooled? Share this post Link to post
Poply 178 Posted January 3, 2009 Heh, no. I think what ever Rainmeter uses to measure temperature may be a little off. It stay at ~20c when idle or web browsing. Share this post Link to post
Ruler of War 169 Posted January 3, 2009 still cpu stays at 40c or so.... Edit: scratch that 50c Share this post Link to post
Poply 178 Posted January 3, 2009 Hm, I'm fairly certain something is wrong with what every piece of hardware monitors the temperature. Another app says my CPU temperature is ~20 too. Share this post Link to post
Ruler of War 169 Posted January 3, 2009 still thats below 100 lol mines like 120 or somewhere around that.... on idol Share this post Link to post

XGhozt 410 Posted January 4, 2009 Nice XGhozt what are you using XP vista............... MAC? I took the best of them all and plopped them together in some kind of weird twisted interface.. But it's XP at root.. of course. Share this post Link to post
Lost Prodigy 158 Posted January 4, 2009 FYI. I'm not running any skining software. Just got a hacked XP Visual Styles that lets you use third party skins, without desktop X or Windows blinds or anything like that. Dual screening: Main is a 1440x900, secondary is a 1024x768 Share this post Link to post

Lost Prodigy 158 Posted January 4, 2009 Its just i have dual monitors and it annoys me cause there differant resolution and 3 years ago a virus deleted my ability to change my background to "strech" sooooo yeah.... Just get a third party display manager. If you have an Nvidia gfx Card you can use nView, that's what I use. P.S. If any of you nubs want some helping making your desktop look hella coolio add me on msn/aim and I'll set you up with whatever you can think of. Only reason I'm not running more desktop mods is because this computer sucks. As soon as I get my new laptop I'll have a kickass workspace.. Share this post Link to post

Those applications have a huge memory footprint. I used to use Windows Blinds, then I looked at the task manager and saw it was taking 40megs ram and 30 megs VM. I'm sorry but looks aren't that important. Share this post Link to post
Zar 696 Posted January 4, 2009 My desktop is the same as last one I posted. Even though I went through 3 or 4 backgrounds between then and now. Share this post Link to post
