GhoztMan 53 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) A few poems I've written over the months. One or two of which might not make sense. I hope you enjoy them even if you can't understand 'em. As you might've guessed, the words in "-" are the title. Review, I love feedback, whether it be positive or negative. -The Hunter- Hunting.. seeing .. smelling.. watching the prey Underground.. sneaking.. creeping.. stalking the flesh of life Never seen.. never heard.. waiting for nightfall Teeming with life soon to end.. Entering the forest.. mist, covering his tracks.. almost. Red mist covering his leaving footsteps.. ______a deep red blanket covering the fallen.. ______and the hunt is over.. ______and he waits once more. -Greed- And the powerful shall rule.. And the weak shall obey.. And the knowledgeable shall think.. And the ignorant shall wait.. And the rich shall bathe in money.. And the poor shall drown in loss.. And the owners of the world shall laugh.. And the envious shall cry.. And you will sit there, watching the sadness.. That we call the human race.. -One I Love- Beautiful Amazing Kind One I Love Warm Earnest Heartfelt One I Love Holding Carrying Protecting One I Love Laughing Running Joyous One I Love Understanding Helping Comforting One I Love There are many more words I could use But none would be good enough for you How your eyes glisten in the night I tremble slightly, you filling my sight Oh so beautiful and lovely you are The one and only keeper of my heart So gentle, caring.. like a dove That is why you are.. the One I Love -Long Lost Feeling- Places to be Serene Booming, Exploding, Silence - Broken Places to run King of nothing Memories The Future, The Past Find your past Walk your path Does the walker choose the path? Or the path choose the walker? Enlightened Ignorance Thoughtful, Serene again Places to rest Death hovers But even in Death May the Fallen be triumphant And it is quiet once more And i am alone Away from the noise, the terror, the love Am I lost? Are we all lost? We are all lost Until we find ourselves.. And each other And then music fills me, bells ring, trumpets blare, the notes Like bottled sunshine And it is gone.. Gone in a flash And alone I wait for birds song once more... Then I smile I smile, not cry I smile because it happened, I do not cry because it is over Edited October 28, 2009 by GhoztMan 1 Share this post Link to post

GhoztMan 53 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Poems don't have to rhyme! :o In the poem "One I Love" I cheated by using a lot of half-rhymes... but oh well.. Something I myself like about "The Hunter" is that it's an acrostic, adds a cool effect. Edited October 28, 2009 by GhoztMan Share this post Link to post

Lots of adjectives and then expressing that sometimes words aren't enough to describe what we see. Beautiful, dude. Edited September 4, 2010 by Protoman Share this post Link to post
