[Photo][PS]Rule of Thirds

Recommended Posts

Goes over the Rule of Thirds, which is basically a way to get your focal more... focused. Works with photoshop just as well as photography.

Rule of Thirds 2(Also goes over how to crop an image into the rule of thirds on photoshop, which is allowed in our competitions.):

This not only applies to photography, but to filming as well. More importantly, it's far more effective if you have directional lines of focus pointing towards the center of the image. If a person were to be looking towards the right, their head would generally be on the left side of the image. You can see this done in movies all the time.

This also applies to focal placement in gfx art, painting, drawing and pretty much any medium you work with. It is a good rule but that rule is made to be broken at times (not always.)
