Pentuim D? Never really liked it. Try the Intel Xeon or something

If you want to buy an Intel get he Core Duo 2. Its the only proccessor that will outperform the FX60, and it does very well according to the pre-release benchies. GHZ isn't everything dude.

How exactly do we assemble these?

an intel extreme 955 cpu can only out perform an fx60 only if all the parts in that comp is opimized for it

and same with the fx 60

my comp is optimized for amd cpus so its gonna run amd cpus better then intel

amd fx-57 clocked at 2.8 ghz (soon to be OCed)

550 wat psu

1 gig of ram

2 XFX 7900 GTX 512MB DDR3 XXX edition Sli

80 gig hd

and a 19 inch monitor

asus asus a8n32-sli deluxe mobo

an xtreme liquid cooling system

all inside a black aluminum coolermaster praetorian 730

im gonna upgrade to an fx60 once i get the money and once the price goes down

What are you talking about "optimized"?

dude u kno what i have no idea what imeant by that but i think what im trying to say is

taht maybe the intel is faster maybe because of its 2MB of level 2 cache and intels 975x express chipset is

what makes it better then the fx60

P4's suck ass, they don't outperform the FX60 in anything except some multimedia, but the FX62 owns in that. I'm going to update this when newegg carries more AM2 products.
