    It's too fun sometimes, boring in others while you wait for tech to research. But the amount of shenanigans you can get into with the conveyors, vehicles, trains, and drones is pretty awesome.

     

    Can confirm. Started playing it out of curiosity, and then closed it our of boredom. Only to realize I couldn't stop thinking about how to improve my factory, and re-open the game again.

     

     

    .... 100 hours later I finally beat it.

    Hi All,

     

    I know some of you still lurk here so I thought I'd make this post. Sometimes myself a few local friends spin up some small game servers for random games we feel like playing. I am fortunate enough to have the resources to do this without any cost to myself. While we probably can't handle more then 30-40 people online at once, if anyone wants a nice quiet place to hang out, you're welcome to join the servers.

     

    If any of the servers have any issues just contact me and I will restart them. Typically the default port and all on the same server IP.

     

    Server IP: 173.164.203.202 (or you can use Ghoztcraft.net if you don't want to type the IP).

     

    Terraria

     

    Starbound

     

    ARK

    Not always online.

     

    Factorio

    Due to the amount of work this game requires, email/PM/message me for the server password.

    Yeah, this site was a place for us to hangout for many years. I plan on keeping it online for as long as possible. Anyone is always welcome to come back and post random shit. It's on my bucket list to get things up to date when I get a chance (and motivated).

    Just thought I'd make a quick post here. Apparently someone did something, either hacked the site or stole an admin account. I think a newsletter was sent out too, but there's nothing dangerous in the newsletter so you can just delete it.

    Ghozt won't even respond to Facebook messages. It's like he doesn't even work in IT anymore :(

     

    Although in the later years Tapatalk really helped with the mobile phone & forum alerts.

     

    Funny story. I have two facebook accounts. The XGhozt one got disabled for some reason and they won't let me login to it or reset the password without provide a real photo ID with the name "XGhozt Chris" on it. They also won't disable/delete the account either, so I get email notifications that I can't opt-out of. :suicide2:

    Ya'll have no idea how humbling it is to see threads like this still popping up. I would love to get things started up again and I in fact tried to a few times already. The problem is I just don't have the time like I used to. When I was running this site and got to it's peak, I basically always had it open. On my phone, school computers, laptop(s) and I didn't go 6 hours without doing SOMETHING. Now I have grown-up things to do like a job, bills, family. I will keep this site up for many years to come since it doesn't cost me anything.

     

    I've thought about hosting the battle.net server for Starcraft 1 (remember? where hacks were allowed? haha). Or even modernizing the forums a bit with a new theme and updated software. Problem is that will cost several hundred dollars to jump start and at least a week of dev time.

     

    Everyone here really made a big impact on my life and I'll never forget the awesome time we had together. I suspect I'm not the only one who feels the same and that's exactly why our community lasted as long as it did... and still lingers. :hi2:

     

    If I ever had a chance to settle down and focus, you can bet that I would be here jump-starting something. Maybe in 2016.

     

    Edit: On a side note, if anyone wants host a gameserver and/or add new forum sections for other games please send ma PM and I can create those at least.

    I wish we could go back to the old hogwarts days on terraria but i think majority of the people would just prefer to restart the server with a new world. The current one is kinda beat up.

     

    Unfortunately, that map is lost forever. :(

     

    I don't have time to build it again, and the original authors don't play Terraria anymore.

    Happy Holidays everyone. Nothing new is really going on with me at the moment. I think I'm basically doing the same stuff now as when I first join GC. definitely miss the army system and the arcade. especially when we made the starcraft version. Sorry to hear your mom cripp.

    I usually only play LoL or some old game from back in the day that I still enjoy.

    I always thought I'd reach 5000 post then retire from GC so I guess I have to stick around.

    Indeed, it has been a surprisingly long amount of time. Even I've graduated Bachelors of Science in computer science and have started working as a Java EE (Spring Framework) / Android dev at some smaller firm. What's up with that, me being a working man? Never would have imagined :D

     

    I still play Starcraft 2 from time to time, but I never got past Gold. It's quite disappointing, actually, but that's okay.

    p.s.: I miss the Army System and the market, that was the best.

     

    p.p.s.: I wonder why I have so many negative points, haha. Oh well.

    It's been a while! I hope you're all doing well. I thought I would chime in here just to say hi bye.gifand give everyone a chance to reconnect with old friends. The site hasn't been very active over the last few years, and that's my fault, I know. I created the site nearly 10 years ago and, wow, time flies! I had a moment to post this topic today and I wanted to wish everyone a merry christmas happy holidays and see how many of you are still around. I imagine I will keep the site online for a long time, so feel free to poke around and say hi every now and again!

     

    In the evenings, I am somewhat active on a Steam if anyone wants to contact me here, my username is "XGhozt". I'm also playing World of Warcraft in the evenings (although I'm not very active), you can PM me if you want to join in (Doomhammer US server) for my screen-name.

     

    I've been busy living life and working hard as a full time web developer now (have been for almost 5 years). I've got a few side projects, but for the most part that's what's been keeping my busy. Back in the day, we all had plenty of time to sit around on Ghoztcraft and play games all day! I miss those days!

    The once thriving community that still lurks here no longer plays the games and have mostly grown up or moved on to other things. You guys are welcome to add some more files and/or categories (PM me to create whatever). I do like the fact that it's turned into the largest archive of these kinds of files. Maybe I should boot up the ol' battle.net hacking server and see if they still work. tongue.gif
