Following that logic everything is an insult. If you want to take simple, obvious statements, and try to think up every unlikely meaning it could possibly have, you're going to get offended by EVERYTHING.

It has nothing to do with "how I worded it". It's the commonly accepted definition of the term. He pointed out ways to make it better. That's constructive criticism. Unconstructive criticism would have just been saying it's poor quality without giving any insight on how to fix that. Your avatar, its photoshopped so thus without photoshop you wouldn't have that avatar.... which would make you have to settle for a normal pic rather than that 1... which would... make your life a little more dull. I was referring mainly to the earlier statements which you failed to quote. Mainly the ones about anyone who is good at photoshop must have no life.But yes, that remark was also a flame, for obvious reasons. Do I even need to explain this? Seems to me you're just being deliberately obtuse. I'm not giving anyone technical instructions on photoshop. It should be obvious that's not what this "debate" is about.

Somebody suggested he "really learn to use photoshop" (empasis added), though. And that person wasn't even me. Anyways it clearly meant "You know how to use photoshop, but I think you should learn how to use it even better". There is no insult in that. There is insult in saying everyone who is good at it is a lifeless nerd, though. Anyways, he was clearly giving contrstructive criticism, not insulting him. Insulting him would be saying "it sucks" or "you suck".
