Torrent sites are not illegal, never have been, never will be. Although some group of people win lawsuits against torrent sites/owners because of naive judges/lawyers/prosecutors dont know what a torrent is and prosecute anyone who associates themselves with "p2p" I think its against the rules in the sense of asking for something of other people in your first post on the site
