With GC being back, and me having some free time again. I am starting up The Classroom where I myself will teach and help those who wish to be apart of the project, where every aspect of the Visual Basic programming language will be explored and tested with you (the students). Another thing within the next couple days I will post ALL the information you will need about 'The Classroom' ie: what to expect, what I expect, how it will work and etc (of course will be open for questions too). But that is not now or then, right now this is to sign up for the project. Just reply here or PM me using the example layout below: Form Layout, Real Name: AIM/MSN/Instant Messenger Client (a IM client is necessary to keep in contact with each other) information (SN/Email etc): Email: Why you want to be apart of the group (something short and sweet, one sentence): You may use this thread to sign up or PM me if you feel more comfertable that way.

I agree with what you said however it is the fact of how many people do you see passing out a .dll trojan then a .exe. Executables are just alot more common and exposed due to people using trojans to remotly view and or control a victims computer. There is just no real threat with .dll's being handed out because that would involve the creator actually coding it themselves and meanwhile with .exe's any idiot could use configuration on SubSeven or something similar to create a hazardous executable. just FYI :P

It is simple enough to see another sticky that states it has all the information regarding 'The Classroom'.

I'm not the kind of person to brag or show people up, I'd rather help them learn from their mistakes/bad habbits. I left my earlier reply here more as an insult then I intended, I was trying to have some constructive critism and failed miserably. Lord Bren at least has shown the initiative that alot of the community lack to learn and be self efficient. My only comments would be (although you say it is your own style) clean up the code if source is going to be released so others don't take from that. Plus there are some easier/shortcuts to alot of your code to simplify it and finally GUI :( I can't stand to look at it. P.S I don't play/have Starcraft anymore :( I have alot of my old crap laying around somewhere though.
-
not only did I see the simple and yet horrible job Lord Bren did on this but I also saw the source and he is one messy man. He has alot to learn. I was disappointed. :o
-
...Do keep in mind this is Starcraft it is OLD and there is no security on brute forcing for it :)
-
The only way to get passwords is to either brute force or backdoor.

KCD actually made something that allowed you to do this awhile ago.

There is always a way ;) plus there is still the Sniper Assist program that is some fun :P

How Can Someone Connect To Bnet If He/she Has No Valid Cd Key?
Andrew replied to nationuses's topic in Hack/Downloads Requests
There are programs such as BattleLAN that allows you to play LAN (TCP/IP) games over the internet (basically direct connecting to each other). What you are thinking of is impossible. The Key-Check is not even on the games but their servers (for connecting, not installing that is a easy/different story). -
Wow so much easier in VB .NET though :P

For first starting out I would do something alot more basic, at first offline hacks, just so you can learn and go from there it is very simple. Then work to Dynamic addresses which is used alot for online purposes. So the next step I would suggest is to make a name spoofer and experiment. @Topic: Like I told you on AIM, I think it would be better if you were to explain what each line means and upload the project for everyone to see.

VB (Visual Basic) is known as the 'easiest' of the language. How I see it, it is the mose flexible and user friendly. Visual Basic is a solid place to start but not recommended as a foundation, just for the knowledge and getting you warmed up into other languages such as C++ that is alot more common (used more in the work force) and powerful.

You 'guessed' incorrect then, I do care and will be taking care of it. I just have been busy with my Fiance, Work and other personal issues. I'd appreciate if you didn't make such remarks regarding my intentions in the future. At least get the facts straight first. @Topic: The Classroom will be starting up I see you are already signed up, I've taken few more steps so I'm slowly getting there. If you are wondering about any tutorials there are several places to look, if you are still edger just make a new thread about it, this is has been used up. ~Closed

Given the time (it has been about a month), I will close this now and go with Visual Basic as the language I will be using for the classroom. ~Closed

Here you will decide what you want to learn as far as in programming languages. There are alot I can cover/offer but it will be up to you guys. Using the "Other" option in the poll you may specify something else you would like to see be done, I basically added just the main/well-known languages. As always I appreciate and thank you for your feedback :). EDIT: The Classroom sub-section was added please do not post in there until it is setup :), after this poll I will have the submission form running for enrolling in The Classroom :)
-
The only reason I'm not going to do it anyway is because a) I havn't done .NET in a LONG time :) I'd probably do such a good job they know you didn't do it (plus it would be easy to tell between our two codes) c) I don't support plagorism d) nothings in it for me :-) sorry. ~ Moved topic OUT of MY classroom >: (

Suggestions For Promoting Programming Within Ghoztcraft!
Andrew replied to Andrew's topic in Programming
Sorry everyone I've been away and busy, plus everytime I came here XGhozt was down. I'm back now and will be starting classes soon! Thank you for your feedback, and there is another sticky with a poll to decide what do you want to learn :) ~ Closed -
Hey everyone, Andrew here. I've been talking with a couple of other staff members and now I want your opinion. I'm look for any ideas you may have to help promote programming and get people started in it. There is no stupid idea, I need your help :D! Some basic ideas to throw around: - Contests (give me details for a contest and a prize(s) up for grabs!) - Forum Programming Class where I would have lessons every week and projects for you to work on throughout the weeks Those are just some suggestions, but I want to hear what your wacky, tacky, crazy ideas are! You may reply here or PM me oor reach me through AIM where my SN is TouchTheTiny. All responses should be fully detailed and have a clear understanding. If it is gibberish I will ignore it (don't waste my time). May the brain-storming begin!

Although very illegal I have uploaded the files, I suggest getting it ASAP before they take it down: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HPTO6KAF

Even that wouldn't work, there can be MANY different outcomes.
