My New Pc Build

Recommended Posts

I'm on a mini vacation from the cheating scene.

Reason is because I'm in process of a new pc build.

A few people are helping me find the right parts.

But I want your opinion as to what I should/would get.

As I see it, ( my first build mind you ) I can do this for under $600.

Case

Motherboard - Intel based

CPU - Intel

Heatsink/Heatsink Fan

Power Supply

Opitical Drive

Hard Drive

RAM

Speakers

LCD monitor

What would be a good choice for these?

UPDATE!

I recieved the PC parts today.. and

Soooo... like I open everything up from the boxes..

Why when I open the case, do two "things" drop out? Thinking 'omg, what brooked now?", I start w/ the mobo + cpu. Flawless.

Get to the heatsink, and I go to orientate ( mobo is sitting on the desk, the case is behind me ) the board and the case to check airflow for the heatsink and....

the front bezel comes off. I inspect it more and.. low and behold, six posts attach to the steel frame that hold the front bezel, four of them are broke in half.

Should I crazy glue, or RMA it back to the company for return of new case?

*Sigh*

Considering how my CPU just died... Hows about you send your old build to me! xD

Just send the case back for a refund and get an Antec Gaming case

I have it, and I love it.

/me *spreads my arms out wide in glee*

I'm typing to you from the new pc setup. I have OS problems atm, so till I get that fixed, I'm laying low. I had to format my old HDD, so I have nothing, was smart enough to backup my Firefox and smaller apps ( VLC, Pidgin, etc ) and Steam !!!

Speaking of Steam.. TWO FUCKING HUNDRED FPS MAKES ME CRY OUT LOUD, WILDLY!!!

Literally guys.. I'm dieing here from the love of this card.

Ill check in over time, but I got to find drivers, apps and make a backup now while this install is still fresh.

To everyone who posted.. Thanks for all your help. I can't express right now what all this means to me.

You didn't say what you where getting 200 FPS on, but if you said you have a good card chances are you didn't watch your watts while building your computer, anything below 500W isn't safe, i myself run a 650

Dude don't skimp on a psu. Always buy a great model when you custom build a pc, because later on you are likely to upgrade. Buy a 720 or even more, because the price doesn't go up a whole lot. Buying two or more everytime you upgrade is a pain in the ass.
