Naming Stuff

How do you go about picking names and the like for your characters, accounts and online profiles?

I've mainly stuck with my good old trusty username for everything but the times I can't use my name for whatever reason I really struggle. I.E. My gamertag is Arranf 360, hardly the epitome of originality.

I'm creating a new Eve account and the Arranf character name was taken a long time ago by a trial account, any suggestions? How would you go about choosing?

JoshJayK is my first and middle name, followed by my last name initial.

 

Before it was Rdy2Killz, when I must have been 10 and thought it was cool.

 

Amicosity is another one I have, because I like oxymorons, so I decided to combine amicable and animosity.

Find keywords and then mix and match it. Start with easy things, like 5 words that describe you, 5 favorite colors, and five favorite things to do. Try to be as creative as possible, but you want something people can easily remember.

I would go with what XGhozt said. Combine two+ things that are important to you or sound cool, or make up a name.

I have to say, choosing a name was one of the hardest things I have had to do.

I remember making up this name about 8 years ago.

I also remember being pissed when the worst show in the world came up with "Renegade Angel: Xavier."

But I do not feel like changing it.

The point is, you really have to put a lot of though into what your name should be.

But once you find the perfect name you will never need a new one.

I do tend to change my name to one that is more widely used when I don't want to talk to certain people in games.

It also helps you build something like an online personality.
