Poply 178 Posted November 17, 2006 (edited) when sony doesn't copy: with the release of the ps3 only a few hours away (where i live) i thought it would be nice for me to remind you all of reasons to not buy the ps3 and possibly even buy the wii or 360. http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2485 http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=690621 first, ridge racer 7. nearly identical to RR6 on the 360 except slightly less stable and less appealing. http://www.gamebrink.com/forums/showthread...28670#post28670 Call of duty 3the difference between cod3 on the 360 and ps3. ps3 version rating: 8.2 http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/callofduty3/review.html The Bad: Single-player campaign doesn't play much differently than Call of Duty 2; story isn't particularly engaging; inconsistent frame rate. 360 version rating: 8.8 http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/cal...ty3/review.html The Bad: Single-player campaign doesn't play much differently than last year; story isn't particularly engaging. 360 version: ps3 version: tony hawk pro skater project 8ps3 version rating: 7.3 http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/sports/tonyhaw...ct8/review.html The Bad: Frame rate is frequently unstable; no online support; skater creation options aren't as in-depth as they have been in previous installments. 360 version rating: 7.9 http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/ton...ct8/review.html The Bad: Frame rate is frequently unstable; skater creation options aren't as in-depth as they have been in previous installments. ps3's most hyped game, resistance, falls short of the 9.0+ hype. ps3 not getting a killer app for their launchhttp://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/insomni...oter/index.html The New York Times is not Impressed with the PlayStation 3 http://www.news4gamers.com/ps3/NewsCom-15590.aspx why to buy other consoles?http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/928519.asp http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/928234.asp excellent recent games that are untouched by sony also, with the wii you get the satisfaction of knowing that nintendo, renown for quality work on consoles, wont break down on you and with the 360 you know all the kinks have long been worked out. http://nocstuff.blogspot.com/ As you have see the PS3 has a hot exhaust. The temp went up to 109.2F then the thermometer frizzed out. playstation 3's problems http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_4InHXPHvs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlc4G4-ovlE...ted&search= http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=81...;q=PS3+freezing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jloesmGRFI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjAeKMyxt3I (stolen from a poster at gs) ps3 scores at 1up: * Marvel: Ultimate Alliance - 7.0 * Tony Hawk's Project 8 - 7.5 * Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 - 7.5 * NHL 2K7 - 6.5 * NBA 07 - 6.5 * Genji: Days of the Blade - 6.0 * Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire - 2.4 * Untold Legend: Dark Kingdom - 3.8 * Ridge Racer 7 - 6.7 * Resistance: Fall of Man - 8.5 quite bad....(i got this from a poster on gc) lastly, its 600 dollars for a game system. blu-ray is useless without a hdtv and its also too risky to spend that much money on an unproven format. at least with the 360 you can choose if u want to spend the money and rumors are that MS might even come out with a blu-ray add-on if hd-dvd does fail. win-win situation. Jordanv78 20 Posted December 13, 2006 Well if it had came out durning the launch like Big Bill said it was then it would have affected sales, because it would boost sales of the 360 during the holidays. But if it comes out in spring, you wont see a ton of people throwing down hundreds to buy a new system just to play one game. But that is my opinion. Share this post Link to post
